Pike County Schools Career, Technical & Agricultural Education Department (CTAE) offers career and technical education programs designed to prepare youth for a broad range of employment and further education and are offered under the guidance of certified teachers. Pike County CTAE does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, s*x (including pregnancy and related conditions), religion, nation

al origin, age, military status, disability, or any other legally protected status in its educational programs and activities, and provides equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups as appropriate. Lack of English language skills will not be a barrier to admission and participation. The following Coordinators have been designated to handle inquiries regarding the non-discrimination policies; note that any discrimination related inquiry may be directed to for distribution to the appropriate personnel. Further information about the complaint process is available at the Board Policy section of the District website.

Applications for Work-Based Learning for the 2026-27 school year are officially OPEN!

A few things to note:
-Completing the application does not guarantee a spot in Work-Based Learning
-Spots are limited!
-The deadline to apply is May 1, 2026. Applications that are not received by this date will not be considered.

To Qualify:
-Be at least 16 years old
-Will be a rising Junior or Senior
-Have taken at least one Career, Technical, or Agricultural Education class
-Be on track for Graduation
-Have own reliable transportation

**Employers and Job Location will be vetted by Mrs. Shepherd prior to approval.
