Threshold Learning Center Hands-on, Outdoor Education A progression through this curriculum will help students understand the world around them.

Threshold Learning Center (TLC) is a non-profit organization offering hands-on science curriculum in Astronomy, Geology, Archaeology, Ecology, and Environmental Science. It is our belief that with an understanding and a connection to their natural surroundings, students will also recognize they have a responsibility to keep the world a healthy place. These studies span curriculums including scienc

e, math, history, English and writing, art and drama, nature appreciation, environmental issues, and physical activities.

Interested in traveling with us this year? The High School trip will be to Oregon, the Jr. High/.High School trip will be to the North Shore in Minnesota, and the Jr. High Trip will be Missouri. We are having an informational meeting this Sunday at the TLC barn at 3pm for anyone interested in our trips. We will have tentative itineraries, cost, and will answer any questions you may have. Since we will be flying this year to Oregon, we need to get people signed up earlier. Please share with anyone who might like to go with us!

Join us Thursday night from 5-6:30pm at TLC in the big barn for our Prairie Cafe Christmas-Around-The World Buffet. Our after-school Kids Club students have been researching how countries around the world celebrate Christmas. They will share traditions and holiday foods from around the world, and some favorites from here at home! FREE WILL donations will help them with their Project Angel service project. The kids LOVE customers! Let us cook for you!

Join us Wednesday night from 5-6:30pm at TLC in the big barn for our Prairie Cafe Thanksgiving-To-Go meal. Our after-school Kids Club runs the cafe and will be using the proceeds for their Project Angel service project.
Don't be fooled by the name...we don't want you to take the meal "To Go", although it is available. We want you to come and stay awhile, talk with a neighbor and your adorable waitress/waiter, get to know people in your community and support TLC and the kids' service project of helping others enjoy their Christmas.
The To Go part is how we do the meal - it's the whole Thanksgiving meal on one sandwich - turkey, cheese, stuffing, cranberry spread - with potato and/or sweet potato chips that we recommend adding to your sandwich! Follow it up with apple pie and/or pumpkin pie bars. All for a FREE WILL donation!
