Early Childhood Education

Today our Early Learners continued their study of water with their activities.

◻️Sugar cube Absorption- They had a tray with colored water and they stacked three sugar cubes in the water and they waited until they completely dissolved.

🌈Watercolors- They had a few containers with colored water and they dipped their paint brushes into the watercolors and then they painted that onto their paper.

📓Journals-Name writing- They got their own journals then they learned how to traceand write their names in their journals.

4🔴-Number Dabber Cards-They got a big piece or paper, a color dabber, and a number and they identified the number then they made the number with the color dabber.

Congratulations to Tayler Hatcher!! 🎉 She's participating in the Internship program and is employed with Nurture Preschool & Child Care. Tayler is a student in the Early Childhood Education Program at the Zanesville Campus, and her partner district is the East Guernsey Local School District.

🍃🌲 Our Pre-K class is branching out this month with a new study—All About Trees!
We’ll explore how trees grow, what they need to stay healthy, and why they’re so important to our world.

🎃 Trunk or Treat Fun! 👻

Our preschool families had a spooktacular time at our annual Trunk or Treat! 🍬✨
Thank you to all the student teachers who decorated their trunks, dressed up in creative costumes, and helped make this event such a fun and festive celebration. The smiles, laughter, and community spirit made the evening magical! 💕

We loved seeing all the adorable costumes — from superheroes to pumpkins — and sharing this special time together. 🧡

The senior Pre-K student teachers planned activities based on the book Eggbert by Tom Ross. The strategy they used for teaching was whole group instruction, and what a wonderful time was had! 💕 Whole group time helps children:

🗣️ Practice turn-taking and expressive language
