Zanesville FFA

Tonight we had the opportunity to travel to Cambridge for Ohio FFA Leadership night. We were few, but mighty! Members had a blast building their leadership skills and interacting with other FFA members from our district! They even did a few line dances 🙂

We want to send a huge thank you to the Meadowbrook FFA chapter for hosting and to the Ohio State FFA Officers for putting on a fantastic workshop!

Today we traveled to London, OH to Farm Science Review. Students had the chance to see all kinds of agricultural technology and equipment, while also interacting with various ag related businesses. We enjoyed fair food and getting to spend the day together!

Zanesville FFA had a great time at the Tri-County Envirothon! This dedicted team came to school at our regular time on a scheduled 2 hour delay to compete!

FFA Leadership Night was a blast! Leadership training, good food, and great friends! It doesn’t get any better than that!

Congratulations to Reighanne Murrey!! 🎉 She's participating in the Summer Internship program and is employed with The Wilds. Reighanne is a student in the Vet Assisting & Animal Care Program at the Buffalo Campus and her partner district is Zanesville City Schools.

Tonight, incoming seniors Hailee Patterson and Nolan Hittle presented about their experience with Conservation School to the Muskingum Soil and Water Conservation District Board. This program provided a variety of career readiness and conservation education opportunities. Each student also received a generous $500 scholarship upon completion! Thank you Muskingum SWCD and The Straker Foundation for this opportunity! A BIG thank you to Betsy Rosser for her leadership and mentorship of our students over the past year!

7th Grade Agriculture students have been working on creating chick enrichment projects this week. Five Cornish Cross chicks hatched last week in our classroom. Now they are enjoying a variety of adventures hand crafted by brilliant minds!

Our annual trip to the Wilds was amazing! We started with a conservation service project and ended the trip by visiting the carnivore exhibit.

Ohio FFA Convention was amazing! We had a great time!
