Kirkmont Center boasts a natural fen, two ponds (one for nature study and one for canoeing, paddle boating, and fishing), cliffs and natural ravines, and a work-in-progress Adena Indian archeological site. Kirkmont Center is classified by naturalists as one of the most unique parcels of land in the State of Ohio. Because of the site’s diversity, local schools avail themselves of Kirkmont’s environmental education program. Nearby is Campbell Hill, the highest point in Ohio (Kirkmont is the second highest). Other attractions near Kirkmont include Ohio Caverns (open throughout the year); the Piatt Castles, Mac-O-Chee and Mac-O-Cheek, built in the 1800s; Pioneer House, the family homestead of the Piatts and part of the Underground Railroad Network; and skiing at Mad River Mountain.

Here's what Fall Family Weekend is NOT: a schedule you have to keep up with. 🍂 No programming to win. No activities you'll feel bad for skipping. Check in Friday at 4, dinner at 6, and then the weekend is yours. Trails, ponds, the fen, a campfire Saturday night, and Sunday you're home by early afternoon. Bring your family. We need to talk about our roof. 🏠 Goodrich Lodge is the heart of this place — it's where meals happen, where the fire is, where every group ends up at the end of the day. And it's leaking. Our board voted unanimously last month to go all-in on fixing it, and we're asking our people to help. Every dollar goes to the roof.
