The Zachary Community School District School Board and Zachary Athletics are honored to recognize Mr. Jerodi Young as the Guest Captain of this Friday night's Zachary High Football game (10/16/26)! He is a special education paraprofessional at Copper Mill Elementary School.
Mr. Young was nominated by our community, fellow employees and administrators for being such a dedicated employee.
Copper Mill Elementary's Principal, Mrs. Lia White-Allen shared, "Mr. Young is one of the most loved people at our school, the kids absolutely adore him! He has worked at CMES for years and over the years he may have missed 1 day of school! He spends his own money helping students who don't have money for concessions or other items needed for school. He works every single athletic event at the school, stays for practice, stays late after games and helps clean up the gym. He is always willing to help in any way and is ALWAYS there for the students at CMES!”
The ZCSD thanks Mr. Young for all that he does for our students and community every day!
