The kiddos danced and boogied to the beats of Kids Bop after enjoying a pizza lunch that was generously donated by Housing (Desert Oasis Communities, A Michaels Community). Today, James D. Price Elementary students had a wonderful time attending the Yuma Proving Ground Month of the Military Child Wrap Up Carnival! They enjoyed treats, games, face painting, and many other fun activities.

A big thank you to Yuma Proving Ground Family and MWR, Yuma Proving Ground CYS, & Yuma Proving Ground for inviting Price to be part of such a special event. Our students truly had a blast!

A new month means a new character trait! Now that we are back from spring break, our character trait of the month is courage!

Courage is all about being brave, even when something feels difficult or a little scary. It means trying your best, speaking up, and doing the right thing—even when it’s not easy. These are important skills that help students grow in confidence and believe in themselves.

A big shoutout to Dakota, Elise, Angelo, and William for being recognized for showing courage!

Thank you for taking risks, trying new things, and showing strength in and out of the classroom. Your bravery and determination make a difference on our campus every day.

April is Child Abuse Prevention & Awareness Month—a time to come together as a community to support and protect our children. The blue pinwheel serves as the national symbol of child abuse prevention, representing the happy, healthy childhood every child deserves.

Join us at Price Elementary School as we partner with Child & Youth Services and families across the YPG community to plant pinwheels—each one a powerful reminder of our shared commitment to creating safe, nurturing environments for all children.

This year’s theme, “MilKids Rocks,” celebrates the strength, resilience, and spirit of our military children. 💙

A new month is here, which means it’s time to introduce our new Character Trait of the Month: HONESTY!

Honesty means telling the truth, being trustworthy, and making the right choices, even when no one is watching. Throughout the month, our Eagles will be learning how honesty helps build strong friendships, trust, and a positive school community.

This week, we are proud to recognize students who have already shown HONESTY through their words and actions:

We’re so proud of their character and the example they set for others. Let’s keep encouraging all our Eagles to practice honesty at school and at home!

Congratulations to our 4th and 5th grade students who represented Price in the Yuma School District One Soccer Tournament today! They did an amazing job, and we are SO proud of each and every one of them!

A huge thank you to our incredible coaches, Miss Maggie and Mr. Clayton, and to Ms. Torres for guiding, supporting, and cheering on our team.

We also appreciate all the parents who came to the tournament to support our kiddos. We are grateful for all of you! Go Eagles!!
