We have some purr-fect news! 🩵😽 One of our kittens has found a loving forever home!
Even more exciting, Ocean (boy) and River (girl) are still looking for their forever families. They are both spayed/neutered, up to date on their shots, and ready to go home. ❤️
It doesn't get much better than that—healthy, fixed, and ready to be loved!

At Yuma Christian Academy, our cats are more than just visitors on campus—they are part of our school family. They have become beloved members of our community, bringing joy, comfort, and smiles to students, staff, and visitors each day.
We believe that caring for animals teaches important values such as compassion, responsibility, kindness, and stewardship of God's creation. Our school community works together to ensure our cats are loved, fed, safe, and well cared for. Students enjoy seeing them around campus, and many have formed special bonds with these furry friends over the years.
The presence of our cats creates opportunities for learning, service, and connection. They remind us of the importance of showing love and care to all living things. Whether they're greeting students in the morning, lounging in the sunshine, or simply brightening someone's day, our cats have become a cherished part of what makes Yuma Christian Academy feel like home.

Yuma Christian Academy is seeking a Junior High Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year.

YCA is a Christ-centered private school serving Preschool through 12th grade in Yuma, Arizona, and we are looking for an educator who wants to be part of something deeper than traditional classroom instruction.

At YCA, students are encouraged to create, explore, build relationships, and grow in faith alongside strong academics. Our students get their hands dirty in the gardens, make friends in our cat sanctuary, develop their talents in the arts and athletics, enjoy meaningful recess and community, and discover that Jesus is a good, good Father who loves them deeply.

We believe children thrive when they are known, challenged, encouraged, and given room to grow academically, spiritually, socially, and creatively.

Our small class sizes allow teachers to truly know their students and make a lasting impact in their lives.

Ideal candidates will:
• Hold a bachelor’s degree
• Have prior teaching or classroom experience
• Demonstrate strong communication and classroom leadership skills
• Have a heart for Christian education and student development

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

Next week has been designated as "Love Our Senior Week."
We will be sharing pictures and interviews, and celebrating with a superhero spirit week in the high school. We invite you to participate in the festivities by contributing notes, snacks, sodas, and well wishes. Items may be left at the front office, and they will be delivered to the desks of the graduates daily. There are 13 graduates this year.
