Proper technique is the backbone to all forms of dance. We pride ourselves at YBA to give our students a grounded foundation. Miss Emma and Level 2 student, Kamryn perfecting her tendu derrière. Miss Emma is beyond proud of the progress that Level 2 has been making!

Rhythmic phrases and Musicality are SO very important at the Academy. Tonight Miss Emma’s Contemporary 1 class explored these concepts by working together and creating their own percussive phrases. Excellent job, dancers!!!

As we gear up to welcome our Upper Division students back into the Academy to begin their fall classes tomorrow, we will be missing one final student who is finishing up her summer studies outside of Yuma. Congratulations to Abigail S. for being accepted into Pacific Northwest Ballet School’s highly selective summer intensive! Enjoy the cooler temperatures while you can!
