Kofa High School Class of 89

Class of 2005 asked us to post for their fundraiser at Sage & Sand this weekend (May 31, starting at 6pm).

Come support their efforts to fund their 20-year reunion if you can!

This year marks our 35th year. One, is there interest in celebrating that? Two, are there any folks in Yuma interested in helping take the lead to plan something? Typically, we’ve held our reunions during Columbus Day Weekend. Any thoughts or suggestions, here?

Dear Classmates,

It is with a most heavy heart to share this very sad news, one of our 'old school classic' Kofa High School teachers, John Roche has suddenly passed away.

With the recent passing of our classmate Tanya Linden Luna, this is two tough losses for the Kofa family 😥 this month.

We are not yet sure of the details for Mr. Roche's memorial services yet, but we will post as soon as we hear more from the Yuma 'news crew.

Please feel free to share your thoughts, recollections, and "famous Roche" stories, as he shared so many with us...at the gym, around campus, or at the trailer classrooms back behind the tennis courts!

He was Driver's Ed teacher to many, then later Wilderness Survival, which was right up his alley! Rest in Peace Mr.Roche, you will be missed! ❤🙏🍻

Most of you will remember our classmate Tanya Linden.

She recently passed away, a relative has established this GoFundMe to try and help her husband and young daughter cover her medical and funeral expenses.

Hi all, Sam Kille here. I just wanted to share a bit of heartbreaking news. Our fellow classmate, Brent Brown passed away June 23, following a long fight with esophageal cancer. He leaves behind two beautiful kids, so please include them in your thoughts and prayers. Some of you got to see him at the 30th reunion. I can’t tell you how happy he was to be there, despite his illness. Brent was one of a kind. I know he would appreciate me sharing this great reminder of who he was—his Kofa Senior Will.

Quick Saturday drive to the Yuma Territorial Prison...
