Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to a new school year! My name is Diane Gonzalez, and I am excited to be your child’s First grade teacher this year. I look forward to creating a classroom where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn every day.

I have been working with students in school settings for over 10 years, from pre-school to sixth grade. I truly enjoy helping students grow both academically and socially. In our classroom, we will focus on kindness, responsibility, and doing our best. I believe that each child is capable of success, and I am committed to helping each student reach their full potential.

A little about me: I enjoy spending time with my family, attending church functions, baking, cooking, and going for walks. One of my favorite parts of teaching is getting to know each student’s unique personality and strengths.

Communication between home and school is very important to me. Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions or concerns. I look forward to partnering with you to make this a successful and memorable school year for your child.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Sarah Alley to the Freedom Christian Academy family as our new 5th Grade Teacher! We are thankful the Lord has brought her to FCA, and we know she will be a wonderful addition to our school community.

Hi, I’m Sarah Alley and I am so excited to be joining the Freedom Christian Academy Team as a 5th grade teacher this year!
Yuma and Freedom have always held a deeply special place in my heart, and coming back feels less like a move and more like a homecoming. Our family lived in Yuma from 2011 to 2019, all three of our children were born here, and my oldest was actually part of FCA’s very first kindergarten class.

My husband Dustin is joining the Freedom Baptist Church staff as Executive Pastor, and we are both coming back with full hearts and a lot of excitement for what God is doing here. We’ll have three kids in the building with me this year a 10th grader, a 6th grader, and a 5th grader (yes, one of them will be in my class, pray for us both!).

I’ve been teaching 4th grade at Emmanuel Christian Academy in Newington, Connecticut since 2021, and
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Liberty University during that time. Teaching kids at this age is genuinely my calling, I love watching something click, seeing a child light up, and building the kind of classroom where every student feels seen and known.

I cannot wait to meet each of your families in August. We are thrilled to be coming home
