Today was a busy day for calculator rentals! If you are enrolled in MAT 142, MAT 150/151, or a higher level math course this semester, you may need a TI-84 graphing calculator. You can rent one for $25 at the SSC. Keep it for the semester and return when the semester is over.

Meet our Star Tutors: Julissa Nuñez, Esmeralda Correa, and Ixchel Garcia! These ladies were recognized at the annual SSC Tutor Celebration on Tuesday night for not only being excellent tutors but also outstanding employees. Congratulations! 🎉

We kicked off Student Employee Appreciation Week 2025 with an ice cream social and recognition ceremony. Congratulations to SSC math tutor Mack Schwitzing for being selected as Arizona Western College's Student Employee of the Year! Woo hoo!

A special shout out to Ixchel Garcia and Leeza Jones, SSC tutors who were also awarded a certificate for workplace excellence. We appreciate you!

AWC campus is closed on Monday, 9/2, due to Labor Day. The SSC is open today, 8/30, from 9am-1pm in Yuma and San Luis. Get your studying done today, so you can relax for the rest of the long weekend!

We're so ready for you to come back this week, Matadors! Join us on Wednesday for some food and fun in the SC Lobby. We'll have some helpful information about the Math Center, Writing Center, and tutoring services in San Luis along with other tips for a successful semester.

Helpful tip for Day 1: Classrooms in the SC building must be accessed from the OUTSIDE of the building. If you need help finding your classroom, just step inside the lobby, and we'll be happy to help.

A farewell celebration for our beloved Myra, who has been our front desk assistant for the past three years. So grateful for the time we had together but also so excited to see her venture out and "become." Best of luck, Myra!
