It is our goal to provide information about our school to parents, staff, students, community members, and stakeholders. Gila Vista’s social media pages are managed by school administration for the purpose of sharing events, achievements, emergency information, and other news. To protect the rights and privacy of Yuma School District One students and staff, page administrators reserve the right to
remove any comments (especially those deemed inappropriate or malicious) at any time, for any reason. The following social media terms and conditions apply to any official District One social media page, including official social media pages of any of its schools. Comment Removal
Page Administrators reserve the right to remove any comments made on Gila Vista’s posts that contain:
-Conduct that violates the terms and conditions of the applicable social media platform (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
-Illegal conduct or encouragement of illegal activity
-Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates prohibited discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation
-Conduct that is threatening, inciting, harassing, or bullying
-Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party, such as copyright or trademark infringement
-Information that is false
-Content that compromises the safety or security of District One, any of its schools, staff, or students
-Personnel information, individually identifiable student information, or other confidential material
-Profane language or content
-Promotions of services or products
-Promotions of political candidates or organizations
-Sexual harassment or sexual content
-Solicitations of commerce or advertisements including promotion or endorsement
-Spam or comments that include links to external online sites, including comments that are unrelated to the original post
-Conduct that is otherwise in violation of School Board policies or that reasonably may lead to the substantial disruption of or material interference with District One school operations
Comments in violation of these terms and conditions may be removed from the applicable District One official social media platform. Continued or egregious violations may prompt District One to further restrict an individual’s commenting on official District One social media platforms. Notices
Individuals should be aware that their comments are public and may be subject to the Freedom of Information Act and records retention requirements. District One may be obligated to retain public comments in its records and/or disclose the information if requested. Public comments expressed on District One’s social media pages do not reflect the opinions and position of the District One School Board, District One, and its schools, officers and employees. By posting to District One’s social media pages, you acknowledge and agree to the Code of Conduct set forth from the district.

It starts TOMORROW!
Yuma School District One is kicking off their Summer Food Program on Monday, June 1st, 2026 at 6 locations across Yuma county. All kids 1-18 years old can receive meals at no cost, regardless of income. Please join us this summer at one of our school sites. Per USDA rules, the child must be present to receive a meal and the food must be consumed on site. Adults can purchase meals upon request. (Spanish flyer in comments). Get ready for the new school year at the 15th Annual Back to School Rodeo! 🎒
Join us from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 11, at the Yuma Civic Center (1440 W. Desert Hills Drive) for this free family event featuring community resources and backpack distribution.
The City of Yuma will distribute backpacks that include some school supplies to the first 2,000 students in kindergarten through eighth grade who attend. Backpacks are limited to one per child, and the child must be present to receive one.
