What an amazing first day!

Dear Gila Vista Families,

We are excited to announce that 7th and 8th grade Wrestling and Girls Softball practices will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
Practice Schedule
📅 Tuesday through Friday
🕞 3:50 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
📍 Practices will be held after school.
Parents / Guardians - Please pick up your student promptly at 5:30pm
Due to Arizona's summer temperatures, Girls Softball practice may occasionally be modified to indoor batting tunnel sessions when excessive heat makes outdoor practice unsafe.

Athletic Clearance Required
Before participating in practice, all student-athletes must be fully cleared through the Gila Vista Front Office. To be cleared, students must:
Submit a completed athletic packet (7th and 8th Grades).
Have a current sports physical completed using the AIA Preparticipation Physical Evaluation (Form 15.7.A) included in the attached athletic clearance packet (7th and 8th Grades).
Students who have not completed the athletic clearance process will not be permitted to participate in practice until all required paperwork has been submitted and approved.

6th Grade Students
Wrestling and Girls Softball intramurals for 6th grade students will begin at a later date. We will share additional information with families as soon as those dates are finalized. A 6th Grade Intramurals Packet is required to participate (no physical is needed).

WELCOME!!! We are so excited to see all of our Monsters back on campus! This is just a reminder about our OPE​N HOUSE that will be happening tomorrow, Friday, July 31 from 10am till noon. Students and families are welcomed to come and walk the path of their classes so they are prepared for Monday! It's a great time to meet and greet teachers as well. We will have a couple of tables set up: our Monster Pride PTO will be selling spirit shirts, Leadership will be selling KONA ICE, we will have a sports table set up for information about physicals, and the San Luis Walk-In Clinic will be on campus for physicals and vaccines (you can call 928-655-9095 to schedule a time slot).
