🐝💚💛 Welcome to Week 2, Hornets! The hive is buzzing with learning, independence, and success!

✅ Morning Buzz: Drop-off begins at 7:05 AM, with supervised locations available until the 7:20 AM bell.

🚗 Ready to Soar: Have backpacks ready and students prepared to exit on the passenger side for a smooth arrival.

👋 Helping Every Hornet Succeed: Staff and paraprofessionals will be stationed throughout campus to guide and support students.

♿ Parking Reminder: Accessible parking spaces require a visible placard or license plate.

📅 Know Before You Go: Knowing your student's schedule helps keep the school day running smoothly.

🛡️ Keeping the Hive Safe: Early checkout is available until 1:00 PM on regular school days and 12:00 PM on Wednesdays. Additional wait time will be required if attempting to pick up during lunch, recess, and activity classes.

WE SURVIVED THE FIRST FULL WEEK! 💚💛

Our YPS staff showed up, worked hard, loved on our Little Hornets, and made the first full week a great one!

The alarms were early, the days were long, and the Florida heat was hot, but our staff continued to OUTSHINE it all!

A little Friday treat for a team that gives their best every day. We are so thankful for our amazing YPS crew! Week one complete! Here’s to an incredible 2026–2027 school year!

Kindergarten is officially BUZZING at YPS!

After a staggered start for the first three days, all of our kindergartners are officially on campus! Our classrooms are full of smiles and fun as our Little Hornets learn routines and classroom expectations, enjoy engaging activities, and have fun at recess with new friends.

We are so proud of them and excited for an incredible year ahead!

As we prepare for the halfway point of our first week back, we want to thank you for your patience, flexibility, and support as everyone learns our arrival and dismissal routines. Please take a moment to review our Car Rider Line Reminders to help keep our students, families, and staff safe.

Key reminders:
✅ Have students ready to enter and exit on the passenger side.
✅ Keep your school-issued car rider tag visible on your dashboard at all times while in line.
✅ Stay off your phone and be mindful of your speed in the parking lot.
✅ Remain in your vehicle while in the car rider line.
✅ Walk-up pickup is reserved for PreK and Self-Contained Classroom families.

We know our youngest learners are still becoming familiar with these procedures, and your patience makes a tremendous difference. Thank you for helping us create a safe, smooth, and successful start to the school year!
