This cream was developed for those who want the powerhouse ingredients on the market without the questionable ones that typically go with them. We’re talking PREMIUM ingredients here! Frankincense tears, rosehips, and calendula and chamomile flowers are infused into organic, cold pressed, unrefined jojoba oil, then combined with grass-fed and finished beef tallow, beeswax, sea buckthorn oil, bakuchiol, squalane, vitamin e oil, and carrot seed essential oil.
Bakuchiol is nature’s retinol without the photosensitivity, peeling or redness. Always wanting to climb as high as possible, with no fear, in an effort to give his para a heart attack. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Being honest, most everything he does gives me a heart attack because, as a Mom, our natural instinct is to keep them from getting hurt. Being blind sure ups his chances of getting hurt. However, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t get to live like everyone else. He just has protective measures some you may not even know he’s using. He can run with bumpers and blockers (arms stretched out to feel for obstacles or bent across his face to protect his face from impact). He can climb high because he has a sense of his surroundings. He can feel. He can hear. Like echolocation, you can have a sense of your environment by the way sound moves and bounces off surrounding objects.

When we hold White Cane Day events or our 5k, we let you use a cane blindfolded and you get a small sense of what it’s like to tap into those other senses to help you understand your environment. It’s looks so easy until you’re under that blindfold. It’s pretty terrifying, and many people hesitate to do more than a shuffle while blind people walk with big, bold, brave strides. It’s pretty incredible!

I am not blind, only a blind kid’s mom, so I cannot fully comprehend what living without sight is like. I have, however, put myself through many uncomfortable walks around unfamiliar outdoor areas under blindfold so I could “walk a mile in his shoes.” It’s 👏no👏joke!👏 You can’t even imagine.

October is Blindness Awareness Month: a month of celebrating independence, capability and confidence while also highlighting the need for accessibility and inclusion. Blindness is not weakness. It’s actually quite literally the opposite! It requires a strength, bravery and determination many of us would struggle to muster up, so put a little respect on it. They’re just like “us” but way more badass!
