Yukon Middle School Yukon Middle School, Home of the Millers! Our school is a large campus conveniently located in the heart of Yukon.

The athletic venues, science labs, choir, band rooms, and food court rival most high schools in the state. With more than 100 educators and 1,400 students, numerous opportunities exist in both academics and extracurricular activities. Core teachers support student achievement through planning time with their Professional Learning Communities. The spirit of the Yukon Millers is made stronger as all middle school students grow together in the only middle school in town and one of the largest middle school's in Oklahoma.

Picture retakes are scheduled for this Wednesday, September 30th.

Retakes are available for two groups of students:

• Students who missed the original
Picture Day.
• Students who ordered pictures but would like a retake.

Important Requirement: If your child is taking retakes, they must bring and turn in their original purchased picture package on Wednesday to be eligible for a retake.

Congratulations to Ugo who was the YMS Miller Strong winner for the month of September. Ugo was recognized at this month's meeting of the YPS School Board. Ugo is a member of YMS's National Junior Honor Society. He couragously ran for an officer position as a 7th grader and served as an officer with high levels of dependabilty and trustworthiness. His strongest character attribute, though, is his kindness. He is empathetic towards others and finds many ways to chip in and help his classmates. His peers think highly of him. As a student he shows himself to be a dedicated, respectful young man with a good sense of humor well-balanced with a quiet, confident maturity. He is model of character for all other students at YMS! Congratulations Ugo! We are so proud of you at YMS!
