One of the things I care about most as an art teacher is helping students grow confidence in themselves through their art.

At Follow Your Art Studio, I teach fundamentals, technique, and art history—but I also want students to explore what they like and create in a way that feels true to them.

I never want every project to look the same.

I want students to learn from great artists, build real skills, experiment, and slowly discover their own artistic voice.

That’s a big part of what Follow Your Art means to me.

Learn from the masters. Then follow your art.

Come be inspired by great artists and created your own unique work of art!

August’s Fine Art for Fun theme is Rebels, Rule Breakers & Reinventors. It is celebration of artists who changed the rules and made art on their own terms.

This month’s project spotlight features:
Polymer Clay Impressionist Project inspired by Vincent Van Gogh and My Own Casa Azul models inspired by Frida Kahlo

Both projects are open-ended, imaginative, and designed to help young artists explore color, texture, symbolism, and personal expression in a way that feels uniquely their own.

At Follow Your Art, inspiration starts with remarkable artists—but the finished artwork belongs entirely to the student.

Fine Art for Fun starts in August at Follow Your Art Studio ! Join where kids and teens make art inspired by great artists throughout history while building skills, confidence, and their own creative voice.

Choose your class:

🩵 Young at Art (Ages 4–7) — Fridays 2:00–3:00 PM or 4:30–5:30 PM

💗 Crazy Artsy (Ages 8–12) — Wednesdays 2:00–3:00 PM or 4:30–5:30 PM

💜 Art Daze (Ages 13–18) — Thursdays 2:00–3:00 PM or 4:30–5:30 PM

Nature’s Masterpieces Art Camp 2026

There is something beautiful about watching a child discover that a handful of natural materials can become a work of art.

This week our studio was filled with moss-covered birdhouses, delicate spider webs, bean mosaics, laughter, and so many moments of creative problem-solving. Every project began with the same materials, yet every finished piece reflected the unique imagination of the artist who created it. That’s one of my favorite things about teaching. I love it when my students take an idea and let their imaginations take it beyond what even I could have imagined!

At Follow Your Art Studio, I want students to learn more than techniques. I want them to learn to observe, experiment, trust their ideas, and find beauty in the world around them.
