We were having class this week and a child came into the We Rock The Spectrum - Yukon Gym for Open Play. He climbed into the ‘boat swing’ with one of our students. The student said hi and waved, but the Open Play visitor is non verbal. I explained that the new friend was still learning how to use words but he would find his own way to say hi, and that we can still talk to him and include him in our play. As if on cue, this new friend reached out and tapped our student on the knee. Our student excitedly said”See, he did say hi!” I love the opportunities we have to teach acceptance and inclusiveness during class! Our class is building friendships of all kinds, and hopefully making the world just a little bit more kind. 🌎❤️

And who knows what else our creative teachers will think of?!?! We are also sponsoring a super fun trunk at Trunk or Treat hosted by We Rock The Spectrum - Yukon and holding our first class party! ( Costumes and parent participation encouraged!) 🎉 🎃🎉 We would love for your little one to join in the learning and fun we have planned! Call us to find out how!

Whew! We had such a busy morning we barely had time for pics! We got all our wiggles out during Open Play in the gym, made candied apples during Art, took a snack break and we just may have snuck a peak at Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes before Story Time tomorrow and finished some Pete the Cat coordinating color and tracing sheets! And even snuck a little parachute time in before we went home🪂The kids had a blast! We absolutely love watching our friends play and learn! That’s what it’s all about! 💜❤️💚💙
