Staff Spotlight: Getting to Know the Hearts behind CVCA
We’re excited to start a new series introducing the wonderful people who make up our staff!
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing a little more about some of our team members—their roles, their experience, and what they love about being part of our team.

🌟 Meet Mrs. Myers — Principal & Head of School! 🌟
What is your favorite Bible verse and why?
Philippians 4:8 — “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
I love this verse because it reminds me to focus my thoughts on what is good, true, and encouraging rather than allowing the trials and challenges of this world to overwhelm me. It is a constant reminder to keep my heart and mind focused on the things of God.
What is your favorite part of your school day?
My favorite part of the school day is Chapel.
I love having the opportunity to learn more about our Savior alongside our students. There is something so special about hearing our students praise God through song and listening to them pray to the Lord. Their faith and enthusiasm often inspire me and remind me of the joy of following Christ.
What is your favorite thing about teaching?
My favorite thing about teaching is watching students grow in their understanding and love for God.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student begin to understand God's Word, grow in their faith, and develop a genuine love for the Lord. Watching that spiritual growth is one of the greatest blessings of being a Christian educator.
What is something God is teaching me right now?
Reliance (on God).
I am learning more and more that I can do nothing without Him, but with Him, I can do all things. I am learning to trust His plan, seek His wisdom, and rely on His strength and not my own.
What is your favorite worship song?
There are so many wonderful worship songs, and my favorites tend to change often. Right now, one of my favorites is “Goodness of God.” It reminds me that God has been faithful through every season of my life.
What is one Fun Fact about you?
I have always wanted to be a teacher. Even as a little girl, I dreamed of becoming a teacher. I taught elementary school, primarily third grade, for many years before returning to school to earn my degree and pursue school leadership.
What am I praying for right now?
I am praying that the Lord will guide us as we seek to fulfill His plan for our school. I strongly believe He is leading us toward growing CVCA into a PreK–12 school, and I am asking Him for wisdom as we walk through this challenging process. I am also praying that He will show us how to raise the resources we need and open the right doors to make this vision a reality. Ultimately, I want us to follow His plan—not simply our own—and trust Him to provide what we need along the way.
