Wake up Oklahoma parents!!! Childcare centers across Oklahoma are closing rapidly. Soon, if not already, there will be a shortage or none altogether. Call your legislators, ask them to look at the rules for subsidy pay to providers. Ask them to pay an appropriate rate, pay based on roster not attendance. Private pay parents have to pay when their child doesn’t attend to hold the spot. Subsidy should be the same. Centers must remain staffed and pre purchase food to accommodate expected attendance or enrolled attendance. Childcare centers are out the money in advance so when DHS doesn’t pay, the center goes in the red. No business can sustain being in the red! Call today! If not Oklahoma is in real danger!

If this big corporate giant can’t keep their childcare center open, how do us little corps? Come on OKDHS, get this subsidy crisis fixed asap!

Integris Health will shut down its childcare centers and Fun and Fit programs in August due to financial losses, highlighting a growing childcare crisis in Oklahoma.
