FYI-Due to the Ontario Reign Family Fun night being a required NEHS event we will be providing some kind of authorized transportation for parents that can’t make it. We will begin to work on logistics on that next week, and keep you well informed!

Good afternoon,

Don’t forget that tomorrow is our Braswell Game Hour Service Drive tomorrow! We will be walking there from school at 9:40am, and returning at 12:15 pm. Unfortunately, we are still missing a lot of permission slips, and they must be in before we leave. Also, if your child offered to bring a game please make sure it comes with them tomorrow morning. All students were going to bring one bag of candy or a treat as well. Please reach it if you have any questions or concerns!

Don’t forget we have a meeting tomorrow morning at 8am in room #32! We will primarily be crafting for our upcoming service drive Game Hour at Braswell on 2.11.2020!

A couple friendly reminders:

1. Community Service forms are due (past due)-they must be turned in by tomorrow!

2. Agendas from the previous meeting need to be signed

3. Tickets are available to begin fundraising for the Ontario Reign game!

4. Permission slips are due for our Braswell Game Hour service drive.

Good evening parents,

This morning's meeting had two major focuses:
1. Our March 14th Ontario Reign field trip fundraiser
2. Our February 11th Braswell Family Senior Care Service
Drive

Please look for a detailed letter that was sent home with your child thoroughly explaining everything regarding the fundraiser. They were each given the event flyer at the last meeting, and will be receiving a large amount of them in their classroom tomorrow 1.29.20 to help them start selling tickets! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

A permission slip was sent home today as well for the Braswell Family Senior Care Game Hour Service Drive and needs to be returned by our next meeting 2.4.20! Our next meeting will consist of making cards/crafts to take with us to the residents at Braswell's, and we are collecting candy and and sweets to bring with us for the residents to enjoy.

A couple other friendly reminders: Community Service Forms were due on 1.19.20, so if your student has not returned it they need to do so immediately! Report cards are coming in the mail, and we will need a copy of those upon receipt! Lastly, please remember to sign the agenda from the meeting for your Chapter Member, as this is now a requirement, to keep families in the loop of important dates and events!

Welcome back from winter break! I’m we hope that you have gotten back into the swing of things, and are ready for our first NEHS meeting of 2020!
We will be meeting this Tuesday, January 14th, 2020 at 8am in room #32! A couple of important things to know:

Please make sure to sign your child’s agenda-this has important information for you, as a parent. Upcoming events and dates, requirements, etc.

New member shirts have been ordered, and will be arriving this week. Unfortunately the national Honor Society was conducting year end inventory for the month of December, and no merchandise could leave their warehouse until this week.

Look for a letter to come home this week regarding our NEHS Night fundraiser at Toyota Arena for the March 14th,2020 Ontario Reign hockey game!

Our Joy Drive was an amazing success! The NEHS members worked so hard, and it is something to be very proud of. We were able to give out 7 gifts per child, and 44 canned goods per family! We sponsored a total of 38 kids from 13 families ❤️🎁‼️

This mornings meeting was mostly about logistics about the Joy Drive disbursement, which will be this Thursday, December 19th. All chapter members need to stay after school and be picked up by their parents at 7pm. We will be sorting items and preparing from 3:30-5:30, families will
be shopping from 5:30-6:30, and clean up from 6:30-7. If your child is a picky eater please send them with extra food and snacks, but we will
be working with the cafeteria to make sure they get fed as well. Also, double check with your child to make sure they fulfilled their parent pick up, poster commitment (if applicable), and that they turned in their toy donations! Thank you for your support during this busy time, and we all look forward to relaxing for the holidays! First....let’s spread some joy!
