I used to be an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at UC Riverside. I coached there for three years before deciding to retire and have a family. Prior to that I coached at Northern Arizona University for almost seven years as an assistant coach. Both of which are NCAA Division I schools. I have been teaching the Basketball Elective here at ILCS for four years now and it is by far the most fun I ha

ve ever had as a coach. Most kids are naturally competitive and it is my goal to provide a balanced and positive environment for the energy they bring to my class. I look forward to getting to know you and your kiddos.

I will not be teaching a basketball elective this Spring 2017. I am contemplating holding a summer camp June 19-23rd for kids entering 1st grade through 5th grade. How many of you would be interested?

Kinder: 12:50-1:30pm
1st Grade: 1:40-2:30pm

I love coaching the younger kids the best! I'm excited for this session to start.

We use small basketballs for smaller hands and shorter hoops for shorter kiddos.

Please pack a water bottle. It is best to fill it half way and freeze it the night before, then fill the rest in the morning so they have cold water during class.

Please make sure your child is wearing tennis shoes on Mondays.

When it gets super hot, I will bring popsicles to cool them off, and just for fun sometimes because, who doesn't love popsicles?

Both of which are NCAA Division I schools.

I was in charge of running the summer camps at both universities and figured out quickly that I love teaching the younger kids. When my own kids started school at ILCS I was excited when I realized I would be able to teach an elective at this fabulous school.

I believe it is important to teach the fundamentals of the game and that is the main focus of my course. We will be playing full court games at the end of each class. Your son or daughter will have a great time while learning the basics of the sport and how to treat others with respect and show good sportsmanship.

I am excited to get started! Hope to see you out there!
