Our goal is to help teachers help their students grow to love math. We understand the confusion and helplessness that can come when a student just isn't "getting it". We have developed strategies and new ways to make Math easier to understand, when your students could use anther way. We hope to arm teachers with new tools to teaching Math, making it fun and seeing success in you classroom for both
the students and YOU, the teacher! For Denine, math was always difficult and an area in which she felt like a failure. When she began teaching in 1986, she soon realized that many of her students felt the same way. She began her search for strategies to change that and today one of her greatest teaching joys is to watch all her students, not just those with seeming innate math ability, experience math success and actually fall in love with math. She teaches grade 4 at Redlands Adventist Academy and was an adjunct at La Sierra University where she taught literacy to pre-service teachers. Her hobbies include piano and gardening, but her greatest joy is to spend time with her husband and their two daughters. With a Bachelor's in Biomathematics and a Master's in Applied Mathematics, he began a career in teaching math to middle school, high school, and college students. After 25 years in teaching, he took a position at Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he administered and oversaw the curriculum management system. Currently, he is the director of education assessment at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy. During his free time he enjoys Netflix with his two daughters and watching his wife struggle with math.
