Our Dental Assistant students recently expanded their knowledge through an on-site demonstration led by Taylor from Patterson Dental, a trusted provider of dental equipment and supplies.

Students were introduced to CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing) technology, a process that has advanced the field of dentistry by allowing digital designs to be transformed into precise restorations such as crowns, veneers, and bridges. By replacing traditional mold-based methods, CAD/CAM improves accuracy, efficiency, and patient care outcomes. Each student had the opportunity to operate the CAD/CAM system, gaining hands-on experience with technology that is increasingly used in dental practices. This type of training supports the development of essential skills and helps prepare students for success in their future careers.

Last week, we kicked off the 2025–26 school year with our Career and Adult Education Welcome Back Professional Development Day at Live Oak High School — a big thank you to them for hosting us!

The morning began with breakfast and coffee from Holy Grounds Coffee in Live Oak, followed by presentations from our managers, Tech Services, and HR. Lunch was catered by Blackhole BBQ, and the day was filled with activities and collaboration across departments.
