Moms of Out of the Box Kids

After 42 years of marriage Tony's sister has welcomed me into the family.
Here she is with her husband Steven.

Many of you know my in-laws Jack and Bev Wilbanks
I don't say this often enough but they were excellent in laws.
Jack was always so funny and warm, never met a stranger. Bev was always compassionate and warm, making cookies for her neighbors to bring a smile to their faces. Most of all they welcomed me with open arms into their family. I always felt welcome and loved by them.
A few years ago Jack went to Heaven.
I am forever grateful for the love they showed me.

A week ago yesterday my very best friend passed away. It was sudden and unexpected.
Tammy Jackson Stone Canzone left us.
She was partially due to Tony and I getting together. She would tell me when Tony would be over. I would show up later in the evening with my little sister in tow.
We did everything together. My favorite memory was when we would prepare for a Fall festival. I would stay late over there while Tony would be talking and laughing with Don m. We talked about everything under the sun.
Her most important job was being a mommy and she was a good one too!
She always made the best choclate chip cookies- better then mine even!
I willl miss you girlfriend.

Speaking from experience here
The autistic child teachers don't know what to do with them.
But I say- teach them to LOVE learning and they will always LOVE it.

I have experienced this is in my lifetime.
It's difficult to know how to react to people when they don't Acct your boundaries
I have found with true narcissists the way to go is no contact.
Sadly I've had to do this with people I thought would be in my life forever.

I do this so much!
I have a situation and I know if God would just do this or do that it would be taken care of.
But our ways are not His and He always has a way that benefits everything and everybody.
For our good and His glory.

One of our traditions while living in Hungary was to get a Stollen at Christmas time. It's a German dessert kind of like a fruit cake here but better.
We had a place in So Cal to get it and when we moved to Nor Cal we found a bakery in Sac that made it.
Two years ago it went out of business. So we started making our own. This one was made by Kai, he's becoming quite the baker and it was SO deelish.

Being raised by a narcissistic Mom left me very unprotected in my childhood .
I always had plenty of food, clothes and a roof over my head- but there other things that can happen .
I'm just so amazed and overwhelmed by how God watched over me- and even when I knew I wasn't doing right He helped me.
I don't post this to disrespect my Mom- she did the best she knew with she had.
I post this to give glory to God- and because I know there are others out there who need to know they're not alone.

I love when my oldest boy is home.
He got to be here a whole week.
