State Superintendent of Tony Thurmond will host a virtual media check-in tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. on Facebook Live, to provide updates on plans to reopen schools, distance learning, and investments needed to bridge the digital divide.

The Closing the Digital Divide Task Force continued their work Friday on behalf of California’s most vulnerable students and families who continue to experience barriers to internet access despite calls for providers to expand their services. Dear Families,
I had hoped to have a few more Zoom phonics meetings next week but with Monday being a holiday and Tuesday’s book/chromebook collection being in the morning, that isn’t very feasible; so tomorrow’s socialization meeting at 9:40 will be the last one for the year.
I will be at school during Tuesday and Wednesday’s collections times. Please return both hard bound books, your child’s chromebook if your family checked one out, and any school work you would like to show me. Feel free to keep all the photocopied books for summer reading. I have a small treat for each child. Hopefully I will see each of you then. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone.
