We are excited to share an upcoming opportunity for students and families in Van Buren Public Schools!

Students and families are invited to attend Google Family STEM Day at Wayne County Community College - Ted Scott Campus, a free, hands-on event designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and exploration through science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Participants will have the opportunity to take part in interactive STEM challenges, digital learning experiences, hands-on activation stations, raffles, prizes, complimentary lunch, and family-friendly learning activities facilitated by Google and Discovery Education.

Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged!

⏰ Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM; doors open at 9:30 AM and the last activity begins at 2:00 PM

Here are a few important dates to have on your calendar as we get ready for 2026–2027:

Kindergarten Camp | August 19–20
August 19: 9–11 a.m. or 1–3 p.m.
August 20: 9–11 a.m.

Open House | August 26 | 4–5 p.m.

First Day of School | August 31

This will be a half day for students. Kindergarten students will not attend that day.

Kindergarten transition days begin September 1, with students attending by last name before the full kindergarten class comes together on September 3.
