Summer at ACCE!

While our scholars and staff have been enjoying summer, there has been a tremendous amount of work happening behind the scenes at ACCE High School!

Our building is being refreshed, prepared, organized, and made ready for an amazing 2026–2027 school year. From maintenance and repairs to cleaning, improvements, and preparing learning spaces, our Facilities Team has been working hard to ensure ACCE is ready to welcome our scholars and staff back through the doors.

A special thank you to our Director of Facilities Jon Burchwell and his incredible team for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to our schools. Your work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is seen and felt by everyone who walks through our doors. We appreciate you!

At Ypsilanti Community Schools, we’re creating learning environments where every scholar has the opportunity to FOCUS • THINK • CREATE • CONNECT • LEARN.

For the 2026–2027 school year, cell phones and personal wireless communication devices must be stored away and not used from first bell to last bell, unless an approved exception applies.

This expectation helps us:
✨ Reduce distractions and strengthen academic focus
🤝 Build stronger face-to-face relationships
🛡️ Support scholar safety and reduce opportunities for cyberbullying
đź“š Give teachers the space to deliver high-quality instruction
🌟 Create a fair and inclusive learning environment for every scholar

🚲Rolling into Success at Grizzly Learning Camp!

Today was an exciting day at ACCE High School as several of our Grizzly Learning Camp scholars received brand-new bicycles and helmets! These bikes are more than just a fun way to ride—they provide greater independence, encourage healthy lifestyles, and help remove transportation barriers so students can stay connected to school, work, and their community.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this opportunity possible. Your generosity is helping our students build confidence and create new opportunities, one ride at a time.
