Our office has had the immense privilege of working alongside Rhonda Longworth, Ph.D., throughout her decade of service as Provost. She leaves behind a legacy defined by excellence. Her passionate, empathetic, and down-to-earth approach to leadership will leave a lasting impact on our EMU community.

As she transitions back to a faculty role at EMU, we wish her all the best in this next chapter.

Our office welcomes David Schecter, Ph.D., as our new interim Provost!

With more than 35 years in public education, Dr. Schecter has served as a researcher, faculty member, and administrator across multiple institutions. He began his career as a high school social studies teacher and most recently served as President of East Georgia State College. We look forward to working with him to further strengthen our EMU community.
