Music Ed Picnic! Sunday at 5pm!
Be there or be square!
NAfME is an organization that provides a place for all Music Education majors to collaborate and gain knowledge that supplements degree course work.
Our goal is to bring a new breath to EMU's music department by embracing the idea of NAfME as an umbrella for all categories of music education. That's right strings and vocalists, we want you involved, too! Together we can create a great learning experience and many new opportunities. We have a ton of ideas in mind and we've only just begun. Stay tuned for more information and events to come!

A message from Dr. Shouldice:
Hello! We are conducting a research study of the experiences of band teachers who identify outside the gender binary, which we hope will shed light on how the profession can be more welcoming and inclusive for teachers of all genders. This will involve two semi-structured interviews conducted virtually through Zoom, each lasting 30-60 minutes. If you identify outside the gender binary and (a) currently teach band, (b) have taught band within the last 5 years, OR (c) are enrolled in a music teacher preparation program and aim to teach band after graduation, we hope you will consider participating!
To express your interest and receive further information, please complete this brief eligibility screening: https://forms.gle/hbUFfdr24LFQLxPe7
If you know anyone who is eligible to participate, we would appreciate it if you would forward this invitation to them.
Thank you for your time!
