The Graduate School 2024 Graduate Research and Creative Activity (GRCA) Conference

Today is the day! The GRC starts at 9:30am and is a great opportunity to see all the hardwork and dedication our graduate students have for their programs and their research. Whether you are presenting, supporting, or just stopping in, we hope to see you there!
9:00am-4:30pm in the Student Center 3rd Floor and Auditorium

Come listen to Dr. Jeremy Bassis present at the annual George Liepa Sigma XI Speaker Series this Thursday at 7-8pm. Dr. Bassis will be presenting on how “As climate change accelerates, there is growing concern that our cities and communities will be subject to environmental stresses beyond what they can exceed.” For more information on the event and the history of the Speaker Series, please visit the EMU Graduate Office Website.

Working on a thesis? Remember to submit it to [email protected] by March 15th! You should have your oral defense and Master’s Thesis Document Approval finished beforehand!

Join us during the GRC to listen to Keynote Speaker Frank Urban speak on his previous experiences and current position as the Director of Venture Creation for Michigan State University’s Spartan Innovations. In addition to his impressive professional background, Frank is an Eastern Michigan Alum, stating that his experience at EMU was “extremely positive, and the education I received shaped my career.” For more information on Frank Urban, visit the Graduate Office website!

This session will discuss “Academically Speaking Professional Presentation Skills with Dr. Jenny Kindred.” It will highlight the ins and outs of professional presentation skills as they relate to academic conferences.
