Save the date South Pointe families for a Golf Outing!

Come and visit Ypsilanti Public Library Bookmobile at south Pointe Scholars on June 15th and July 25th!

Students proudly showcased their creativity and talent at the South Pointe Scholars Art Exhibition. Every piece on display was thoughtfully designed and created by the students, highlighting their imagination, hard work, and artistic skills. The exhibition celebrated the unique perspectives of young artists and provided an opportunity for families and the community to enjoy their inspiring work. South Pointe Scholars students have previously been recognized for creating artwork displayed in public venues, reflecting the school's commitment to encouraging creativity and self-expression.

Students at South Pointe who achieved perfect attendance for the entire school year earned a special field trip to iFLY Detroit! During their visit, students not only experienced the excitement of indoor skydiving, but also learned about the science behind flight, including aerodynamics, air pressure, and how parachutes work. It was a fun and educational way to recognize their commitment to being at school every day.

Our First Grade scholars at South Pointe Scholars recently celebrated the culmination of their Life Cycle Unit with a special butterfly release! Over the past several weeks, students observed and documented each stage of the butterfly life cycle—from caterpillar to chrysalis to beautiful butterfly. This hands-on learning experience brought science to life and helped our scholars develop observation, patience, and critical thinking skills. The excitement was unforgettable as students released their butterflies into the world, watching them take flight and reflecting on all they had learned throughout the journey. We are so proud of our young scientists and grateful for opportunities that inspire curiosity, discovery, and a love of learning!
