🐻💛 Our first Grizzly X Friday was a HIT!

The X stands for Xplore. Xperiment. Xperience. Our Grizzlies were able to code, practice yoga, build with LEGOs, and even made salsa in the courtyard!

Learning is in everything we do! Our students and staff had an amazing time learning, creating, and building our Perry community together.

So proud to be a Grizzly! 🐻💛

From planting tiny seeds and seedlings in the Perry Learning Garden this spring to harvesting the fruits of their hard work this fall! 🌱🌼🍅🥒 Our students experienced the joy of growing, caring for, and gathering food from the garden. What a season of learning, teamwork, and growth! 💚 It's Great to Be a Grizzly!

🌟 Awesome Admin Spotlight: Mr. Brian Dickerson 🌟

Meet Mr. Dickerson, principal of Perry School! Mr. Dickerson has served YCS for five years as a school administrator. Before becoming a principal, he began his career as a middle school math teacher.

His favorite part of the job is seeing scholars and staff become more than they thought they could be while building a school community where everyone is proud to say, “It’s Great to Be a Grizzly!” 🐻💛🖤

Outside of school, Mr. Dickerson enjoys attending sporting events with his family, especially Detroit Lions games! 🏈

Thank you, Mr. Dickerson, for your leadership and commitment to the Perry community!

Great opportunities are available for our Perry Scholars! 🎾🐾 Tennis and Cub Scouts are wonderful ways for children to stay active, build motor and social skills, learn how to work and get along with others, and discover new interests and abilities. Keeping our young scholars active and engaged outside of the classroom also supports their confidence, growth, and success in school. We encourage our Perry families to take advantage of these opportunities!
Healthy, active kids make brighter futures!
