This is a developmental choral class for the 9th female student. In this class, students focus on developing and improving their voice through rehearsal and performance, while developing the ability to read music. Prior to each performance, singers may audition to perform as a part of the Sel
ect SATB Concert Ensemble. Music literature will include classical, folk, multi-cultural, gospel, show tunes, and popular music. Four performances will be required per year. Additional solo and small group opportunities may be offered. MEN OF LINCOLN
Non-Auditioned men's ensemble

Prerequisite: None
This is a large ensemble comprised of 9th-12th grade males. Singers in this choir prepare TTB/B and SA/TB literature. BELLA VOCE
Non-Auditioned upper-class women's ensemble
Grade Level: 10th-12th grade women
Prerequisite: None
This is a large ensemble comprised of 10th-12th grade females. Singers in this choir prepare SSA and SA/TB literature. SPLIT DIMENSIONS
Auditioned, advanced, upper-class women's ensemble
Grade Level: 11th-12th
Prerequisite: Yearly audition and written director recommendation to counseling staff
This is a small elite ensemble solely for the accomplished, self-disciplined, and committed choral singer. Historically made up solely of treble singers, in the event there are not enough women, the director reserves the option of adding male voices for balance and skill. This group will perform numerous community and school concerts in and out of the normal school day, as well as four concerts per year, and MSVMA Festival competitions as determined by the director. Performance commitment is essential to this group. Students will sing in solo and small group formats. Advanced level literature is explored and performed. Select SATB CONCERT CHOIR
Auditioned, SATB choir
Grade Level: 9th-12th
Prerequisite: Quarterly audition for each concert
Serious, well-disciplined singers from Women's Chorus, Bella Voce, and Men of Lincoln who have demonstrated an above-average rehearsal commitment, and vocal technique, may audition to perform as a part of the Select SATB Concert Ensemble. Auditions are held prior to each performance for that individual performance. Students will commit to 2-3 after school rehearsal per quarter. VOCAL ESSENCE
EXTRA CURRICULAR
Auditioned, advanced, upper-class SATB ensemble
Grade Level: 10th-12th
Prerequisite: Semester auditions
This small elite ensemble is for accomplished, self-disciplined, and committed choral singers from Split Dimensions, Bella Voce, and Men of Lincoln who have demonstrated an above-average rehearsal commitment, and perform with advanced vocal technique. This group will perform numerous community and school concerts and MSVMA festival competitions as determined by the director. Intermediate and advanced level literature is performed. Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester. Students will commit weekly after school rehearsals.
