VIP parking is BACK!

Are you already tired of waiting in the pick up and drop off lines? Place your bid to win a VIP parking spot and you could skip the line!

This year, we're auctioning one spot for the first half of the year (through January 2027). The spot is in the staff parking lot near the Upper House loop. It is available to all families.

See attached for bidding instructions and the fine print. The auction closes at 8 pm on Wednesday, September 2.

All proceeds will go to the PTO to support our programs throughout the year!

Just a few more sleeps until the first day! If you're looking for a Sunday afternoon activity, a group of us will be chalking the sidewalks outside of Childs to add a little extra cheer on Monday morning. We'll start around 4 pm and we'll have all the chalk - families and kids of all ages are welcome to attend!

We loved meeting so many Y5 and Kindergarten families the last two days at popsicles on the playground! We can't wait to see the rest of our amazing Childs families at open house on Wednesday! Stop by our table to say hello and spin the wheel for a prize.

All families are welcome to come by at any point between 5-6:30 pm. Y5 and Kindergarten teachers will have a presentation in their classrooms from 5:30-6 pm.

Join other incoming Young 5 and Kindergarten families at the Childs Elementary School playground. Get to know other families and enjoy a popsicle and playtime! This event is open to your entire family, not just your incoming student.

Incoming Young 5s and Kindergarten families, join us for a playground meetup! Connect with other new Childs families and the Childs PTO while kiddos play at the park. This event is open to your whole family, not just your incoming student!

We'll be at the playground closest to Bemis Road (the one with blue and white playground equipment). Because this isn't a school event, we won't have access to the bathrooms inside.

Kroger and Busch’s will donate a portion of your purchase when you enroll in their community benefit programs and name the Childs PTO as your preferred organization. Last year, we received over $1,000 in rewards!

For Kroger:
1. Go to www.kroger.com and log in
2. Click on Community Rewards
3. Search for our organization by number (EC780) or name (Childs Elementary)

For Busch’s:
1. Go to https://www.buschs.com/myway-cash-for-education and log in
2. Select Childs PTO Inc from the drop down and check “Add to Future Quarters” then click the Green +Add button

💙 Open House (5-6:30 pm @ Childs): Welcome back to Childs! Meet your student's teacher for the upcoming year, say hello to Childs staff, and reconnect with other Childs families!

🩵Splitterpalooza (4-7 pm @ the LAB) This free event is open to all Lincoln families. There will be bounce houses, games, and giveaways. Food available for purchase. Stop by on your way to or from the Childs Open House!
