Welcome to Dorothy's Discovery Daycare! In January 2003, DDDC originally opened as a Group Day Care Home caring for 12 children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. In April of 2005, we became re-licenced as a Childcare Center. The Center is located within a residential neighborhood; in a home renovated for childcare. Most of the children attending the Center live nearby and families enjoy the convenience of a neighborhood childcare facility. Although children are cared for in assigned age groups, they have the benefit of visiting friends and siblings throughout the day to enhance the family atmosphere and to provide an opportunity for long-term friendship. We are licence for 42 children by the State of Michigan, Department of Human Services. We offer quality childcare and educational programs using a research-based curriculum. Childcare is available for children 18 months through 8 years of age. Full and part-time schedules available. We have an open door policy for parents and parent volunteers are welcomed. The center is open 7:00a.m. – 6:00p.m. Monday-Friday year around. We invite you to visit our center, get to know us and discuss opportunities for your child.
