⚔🎃 Introducing...Costume Combat @ Mitten Mayhem! 🎃⚔
It's spooky season, which means we gotta get festive at Mayhem! On Sunday, Oct 25, all workshop attendees are invited to wear a costume, cosplay, kigurumi onesie, or a nerdy/seasonal t-shirt to Day 2 of the workshop.
Here are some guidelines for picking out your costume:
- It is still an all-day stage combat workshop, though, so make sure you wear something that allows for athletic movement and all-day comfort. That goes for your shoes too!
- Make sure it is weather-appropriate! October in Michigan means it might be chilly or rainy.
- Don't make it super complex or elaborate. You should be able to get in and out of it easily to participate in classes.
- Don't bring props and/or weapons. We've got plenty in our workshop armory and you're going to be holding a sword all weekend. I promise you, you don't need to bring that giant anime sword.
- Leave your elaborate hats, wigs, wings, etc at home.
- Don't wear body paint, glitter, or make-up that leaves residue. You'll be sweating at our workshop, and those extra make-up effects aren't necessary.
- Of course, don't wear anything inappropriate (i.e. sexist, racist, explicit, or any other -ist). This is supposed to be a fun way to add to the workshop experience.
