Celebrating 10 years of simulation collaboration between CHHS and Trinity Health!! 🥳🤩

I had a wonderful time meeting Olwen Halvey, a social work lecturer and an IPE collaborator along with social work faculty from the bsw/msw programs at University of Cork. Among other things, we discussed how interprofessional collaboration and technology can help us meet the challenges of a changing healthcare education environment.

Amazing EMU students from 5 different programs at EMU present their experiences in IPE@EMU in presentation “Changing Health and Human Services through Interprofessional Education”🌟🙌🌟

We had an inspiring day at the Center for Interprofessional Education, Research, and Practice. Along with faculty at the University of Cork and the University of Limerick, we had over 100 students participate in an interprofessional case collaboration. We had social work students from Cork and Eastern Michigan and Occupational Therapy and Nursing students from Limerick and Eastern Michigan. This is only the start! We plan to make this an annual event so if you are interested in participating, please reach out.

We will have a virtual international IPE event on February 14th with nursing, occupational therapy, and social work faculty from Eastern Michigan University, the University of Limerick, and the University of Cork.
