Our student-athletes have been hard at work during summer workouts, and if you’ve spent approximately three seconds outside lately, you know the Louisiana heat doesn’t play around.
We’re grateful for community partners like Coca-Cola Bottling Company who take the time to invest in local students and show up in meaningful ways. Opportunities like this remind us that strong schools and strong communities go hand in hand.
Thank you to Coca-Cola for helping keep our student-athletes hydrated during summer workouts!
Now if someone could do something about the Louisiana heat, we’d really be in business. 😉

Celebrating Leadership at ARCA High! 🎉
Please join us in congratulating Coach Travis Blaize as he steps into his new role as Athletic Director at ARCA High!
A veteran, educator, and coach, Coach Blaize brings more than 15 years of coaching experience to ARCA High and has spent his career developing leaders, mentoring students, and serving others both on and off the field.
As Coach Blaize prepares to close a remarkable 20-year chapter of military service this November, his commitment to leadership and service continues to shape the lives of students and student-athletes at ARCA High.
In addition to serving as Athletic Director, he will continue leading our football program as Head Football Coach and preparing future first responders through our EMR program.
We asked Coach Blaize to share a little about his vision for ARCA Athletics and what inspires him as a leader.
🦅 What are you most excited about as you step into your new role as Athletic Director?
I am most excited about the opportunity to lead one of the fastest-growing programs in the state while serving one of the fastest-growing communities in Louisiana. As we transition into 4A athletics, I look forward to continuing to foster growth across all of our programs and expanding opportunities for our students.
🏈 What do you hope student-athletes take away from their experience at ARCA High?
I hope student-athletes leave our programs as better people than when they entered. As coaches we should equip our athletes for lives of significance. High quality academics, good character and athletic success are not antonyms of one another. I hope our student-athletes complete their 4 years and become substantially more well rounded in school and in life.
🎖️ How has your military service influenced your leadership as an educator and coach?
My military service has allowed me the opportunity to lead people since I was 20 years old. One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is how individuals from many different backgrounds can unite around a common goal and purpose. The military emphasizes being a member of a TEAM with the mission first, and that mindset translates well to athletic success.
Join us in congratulating Coach Blaize on this exciting new chapter for ARCA High Athletics! 👏🏻

Celebrating Leadership at ARCA High! 🎉
Please join us in congratulating Coach Travis Scott on his role as Assistant Principal at ARCA High!
Whether he’s on the track, at an event, or in the hallway, Coach Scott’s enthusiasm for ARCA High is hard to miss. He brings energy and school spirit wherever he goes!
While Coach Scott stepped into this role back in November, summer is often a time to celebrate new roles and leadership transitions. We’re excited to recognize his continued leadership and dedication to our students and school community.
Coach Scott previously served as our Athletic Director for six years and will continue serving our student-athletes as Head Cross Country Coach and Head Track & Field Coach.
Coach Scott’s impact on ARCA High extends far beyond athletics. His years of service, commitment to students, and investment in our school community have helped shape not only ARCA High, but the entire ARCA family.
📚 Historical Fact: Coach Scott has been with ARCA since the very first year our school opened its doors in 2014.
😂 Fun Fact: Coach Scott has officially announced his retirement from student vs. teacher/admin games. Rumor has it he says he’s “getting too old for that.”
Join us in congratulating Coach Scott on this next chapter of leadership at ARCA High! 👏🏻 m

Archie the Eagle took flight this week to celebrate a very special occasion, Eddy the Cane Cutter’s birthday at Fabacher Field! 🎉⚾
Archie had a blast meeting new friends, snapping photos with fans, and helping celebrate another great year with our neighbors in the community. From mascot meet-and-greets to taking the field alongside local athletes, it was an evening full of smiles, teamwork, and community spirit.
At ARCA High, we believe being part of the community means showing up, building relationships, and supporting the organizations that make Acadiana such a special place to call home.
A big thank you to Eddy and Acadiana Cane Cutters Baseball for allowing Archie to be part of such a special celebration!! 🎂

These young men represented ARCA High with hard work, grit, and a commitment to excellence throughout the season. Their recognition as All-State athletes is a reflection of the countless hours spent training, competing, and pushing themselves to be better every day.
We are proud of what they accomplished individually, but even more proud of the way they represented our school, teammates, and community.
