At ARCA, we love highlighting the unique talents and accomplishments of our students, and today we're celebrating Zoรซ Morrow, one of our amazing K-2 students!

This past weekend, Zoรซ had a wonderful experience participating in the C'est Bon Seasoning Festival Queens Pageant in Carencro, where she proudly earned the title of Tiny Miss 2nd Maid! ๐Ÿ‘‘

What made this experience even more special was the pageant's commitment to inclusion. Organizers provided a ramp for Zoรซ's wheelchair and made sure she felt comfortable and welcomed throughout the event. These thoughtful accommodations helped ensure that every contestant had the opportunity to shine.

For Zoรซ, pageants are about much more than crowns and titles. They are an opportunity to build confidence, develop lasting friendships, and showcase her outgoing personality. Her participation reminds us that when barriers are removed and everyone is given a chance to belong, extraordinary things happen.

We are excited to share that another ARCA K-2 teacher has been selected as a recipient of the Swamp Base Ready-to-Go Service-Learning Project! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

Mrs. Magnonโ€™s project will focus on ๐ž๐ง๐๐š๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง ๐‹๐จ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐š๐ง๐šโ€™๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ฐ๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ, giving our young Eagles an opportunity to learn more about the incredible animals that call our wetlands homeโ€”and why protecting these species and their habitats is so important. ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿข๐ŸŒฟ

Through this hands-on service-learning experience, students will explore Louisianaโ€™s unique ecosystem, discover the challenges facing endangered species, and learn how conservation efforts can make a difference.

We are incredibly excited to see another ARCA K-2 classroom connecting learning with real-world experiences right here in Louisiana!
