Congratulations to our 3rd - 4th grade and 5th - 6th grade Saints football teams. Both teams opened their season Sunday with shutout wins over Austintown. And special thanks to our cheerleaders for a great halftime performance.
The 7th and 8th grade teams and their cheerleaders open their season Wednesday at St. Christine’s vs. Austintown. 7th grade’s game starts at 5:30 with 8th to follow.

Attention parents of girls grades 5-8 interested in cheer this fall:
Registration will begin for the 2024 Saints Football Cheerleaders. We ask that all girls make contact with the appropriate coach per age group. Each coach requests to be contacted via text by this coming Monday, 7/22 to sign up. We ask that all girls, if able to, attend the Mooney Cheer Camp August 5th-7th. This will be the girls’ opportunity to learn the cheers and dance used for the upcoming football season. If your daughter is unable to make this camp, please let the corresponding coach know.

Attention 7th and 8th grade boys interested in playing football for the Saints this fall. Dan Turner has been named the program’s new coach and (non-mandatory)conditioning will begin tomorrow, Thursday, June 6th.

Attention parents of athletes in 7th and 8th grade:
This is an invitation to the 2023/2024 sports banquet. The banquet honors all of the athletes who competed in 7th and 8th grade sports for St. Charles this school year. The sports that will be honored are Volleyball, Cross Country, Boys and Girls Basketball, Track and Soccer. The banquet will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd at 6:00 at The Lake Club.
The athletic club covers the cost of the athletes. The cost for all others attending is $35 a person. I apologize for the lateness of this, Easter break among other things prevented it from going out earlier. But if you could please RSVP to the school office with the amount of athletes and others attending along with cash or a check made to: St. Charles Athletic Club by next Tuesday, April 16th.

Congratulations to the 2023 Mooney parochial middle school cross country runners - Maximus Marino, Alyssa Puhalla and Kellan Reed on an award winning season! Maximus led the boys’ team to place first at the Jackson Milton Invitational and Newton Fall invitational. Kellan was a great addition to the boys’ team. Alyssa and the girls’ team placed 2nd at the Newton Falls Invitational.
Special congratulations to Maximus and Alyssa, 8th graders, who have participated in St. Charles cross country since kindergarten.
We had a very successful cross country season and a large team of nearly 60 athletes. We had 4 home meets and 3 local invitationals.
At the invitationals, Moses Marino and Rowan Shumaker competed. Moses ran in Jackson Milton taking 2nd place overall and Newton Falls taking 1st place overall with a 6:09 per mile pace. Rowan ran in Newton Falls taking 4th place overall with a 6:52 per mile pace.
Our overall leaders and winners at the home meets this year were:
