Congratulations to Ursa Major and Raytheon on their successful missile flight tests with a long-range solid rocket motor for the Army. Ursa Major has a facility located in Youngstown, OH, and works with America Makes on projects to research and develop their techniques, enabling them to take on an increasingly prominent role in the military's propulsion sector.

It has been 10 years since the U.S. Congress enacted the Revitalizing America Manufacturing and Innovation Act, legislation establishing Manufacturing USA. America Makes, the National Innovation Institute for Additive Manufacturing, was the first to join the network.

◾Polymer Challenge: Which brand of Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG) polymer filament provides the best performance/cost ratio?
◾Metal Challenge: What are the ideal infill print parameters for Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) of 316L, manufactured in 80µm layers?
