The Children's House

The Children's House The program was founded over ten years ago by Mary Ellen Murray, intended originally for toddlers ages 18 months – 3 years of age.

Nurturing young minds through the Montessori method, we provide a child-centered, hands-on learning environment that fosters independence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning 🌱🕊️ The Children’s House is a Montessori-based program located in Youngstown, NY, offered on weekdays for the youngest members of our community, ages 18 months- 4 years. She named the program “The Children’s House” as

she wanted each child to feel a sense of ownership, that it was truly their place to grow and experience a peace-based education. And, as the children grew (along with the popularity of the program), the demand for a preschool environment grew as well. The Children’s House serves as an outreach program to the young families in our community and is budgeted to be self-funded through tuition and fundraising.

21 days until our first day of school at The Children’s House (can you tell we’re excited?)! The toddler and preschool classroom environments are prepared and ready to welcome our new and returning friends, as is our newly improved playground! While both toddler classes and our MWF preschool class are currently full, we do have a couple of openings in our Tue/Thu preschool class. We have an opening in our Pre-K room for a Tuesday/Thursday spot starting this September!
Both of our Montessori classrooms are led by caring, experienced, Montessori-trained and certified guides who create a warm, nurturing environment where your child can thrive.
