Our bus drivers spent the morning with our elementary students learning about bus safety! 🚌

Students practiced important safety procedures, including how to safely cross in front of the bus and how to stay alert when getting on and off.

🩺 Welcome to Liberty Local Schools, Mrs. Christine Mikovich!

Mrs. Mikovich is joining the Leopard family as our new PK–6 school nurse. She brings more than 17 years of nursing experience, including work in critical care and hospice nursing.

Mrs. Mikovich lives in Cortland with her husband, Mike—a proud Liberty graduate—their children, Ella and Max, and their dog, Pearl. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time outdoors and cheering on her children from the sidelines at their sporting events.

Hey Leopards! On September 14th, our schools begin our "Team Up for Attendance" campaign! All Liberty students who have an overall attendance rate of 90% from September 14th through September 24th will be entered into a drawing for 4 tickets to the Cleveland Browns Home Opener on Sunday, September 27th, plus other Cleveland Browns swag!

Consistent school attendance is the foundation for student success! Even missing a few days a month can have a lasting impact on learning. Research shows that missing just two days a month can leave kids trailing in foundational learning and social skills.

🐛🦋 Learning About the Life Cycle!

Our 2nd-grade students are getting an up-close look at the butterfly life cycle!

As part of this special lesson each year, our friends from Churchill United Methodist Church brought in caterpillars that are already in their cocoons. Students will have the opportunity to watch as they transform into beautiful butterflies! 🌿

Once the butterflies are ready, our classes will head outside to release them and watch them begin their next adventure. 🦋
