Our 6th grade students ended the year with a STEAM Challenge Day!
Sixth graders Vincent Ferrara, Nolan Sefcik, Christian Coggins, and Emily Russo recently participated in a math competition called TAPS. Working together as a team, they placed second out of numerous schools.
Last week, we sent off our 6th grade class in style as they headed to Junior High!
A fourth-grade family in Liberty was affected by the recent disaster at the Chase building in downtown Youngstown, and we’re stepping up to help out! For just $1, students can dress however they like tomorrow, just like you will this summer! Pajamas? Perfect! Hats? Absolutely!
Only one exception: no bathing suits.
So, let’s support our Leopard family by donating $1 tomorrow and rocking our favorite summer gear! Let’s show our spirit and solidarity!

Liberty PK-6 hosted a Cereal Box and Macaroni and Cheese Dominos chain today, thanks to the idea from Elaine Jacobs!
All 163 boxes of cereal and 72 boxes of mac and cheese will be donated to Churchill United Methodist and the Liberty Assembly of God. A huge shoutout to our amazing Liberty student families and teachers for their generous donations.
Shots for Tots, the non-profit known for raising funds to buy bikes for kids through the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Program, once again made a big impact with our students.
Today, they donated 21 bicycles to the thrilled students in grades PK-6.
Throughout the year, Shots for Tots hosted fantastic fundraising events like raffles, golf outings, poker runs, sip and paints, and race nights to support their mission. Over the past four years, they've donated over 1,000 bikes, with nearly 100 going to Liberty PK-6 students.
Our Liberty K-4 Spring Music Program featured outstanding student performances last week. Kindergarten through 3rd graders sang, and our 4th graders played the recorder!
Thank you to everyone who supported our hardworking students throughout this school year!
We need NEW unopened FAMILY-SIZED cereal boxes! After we do the Dominio event they will be donated to the food pantry.
Liberty teacher Marla Dull along with her friend and Hubbard teacher Becky Buchenic have been chosen as Fund for Teacher (FFT) Fellows for an amazing educational adventure this summer!
Marla and Becky will head out west to enhance their teaching skills in astronomy and natural sciences. Starting in early June, they will embark on an eleven-day expedition, attending The Bryce Canyon Astronomy Festival, stargazing in Grand Teton National Park and exploring other dark sky national parks like Yellowstone and Zion. They will also visit the Lowell Observatory to look through the Dyer Telescope at the night sky.
This is their second time as FFT Fellows, with their first adventure in 2019. The pictures you see here are from Marla's 2019 trip!
Supported by a $10,000 grant, Marla and Becky are excited to bring back new insights for our classrooms and STEM family nights.
