Hno. Ricardo Carradero Tañón

"Nací en la ciudad de Nueva York y mis primeros pasos en el Señor en mi niñez fue en la Iglesia Juan 3:16 que pastoreaba mi abuelo, el Rvdo. Ricardo Tañón. A mi edad de 10 años mi mamá enfermó y murió y junto a mi padre y mis dos hermanas nos mudamos a Puerto Rico.
Desde mi niñez siempre he servido al Señor y siempre me ha gustado trabajar en su obra. En mis años de juventud, además de ayudar en la transportación en la iglesia, me gustaba servir en diferentes áreas donde fuera necesario. Siempre estaba involucrado con los jóvenes de mi iglesia en las actividades locales y seccionales, lo cual me llevó a ser nombrado Líder Seccional de AJEC, del Concilio Pentecostal M.I. Durante ese tiempo completé los tres años de estudios bíblicos, en el Instituto Bíblico Mizpa Extramuro del Concilio Pentecostal MI. También he sido maestro de jóvenes y adultos de Escuela Bíblica.
Entre mis estudios seculares cuento con un Bachillerato en Ciencias de Computadora y un Bachillerato en Administración de la Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Bayamón. En el año 2019 me gradué con un Bachillerato en Teología de la Redime Christian University of Puerto Rico, donde también tomé cursos de Capellanía.
En el 2021, una situación de estudios de mi hija mayor me trajo a Youngstown, Ohio, donde me hice miembro de Spanish Evangelical Church, que pastorean el Rvdo. Rolando Rojas y la Rvda. Ruth Rojas. Mi iglesia en Puerto Rico era Forjadores de Esperanza, Asambleas de Dios en Guaynabo.
Aunque ya me había retirado de mi trabajo secular en Puerto Rico, como Programador de Computadoras del Departamento de Hacienda, acá en Youngstown, Dios me abrió una puerta como intérprete en OCCHA Inc., donde laboro a medio tiempo.
Soy parte del Grupo de Adoración, que dirige la Pastora Dorcas Santiago, donde asisto en el área de sonido de la iglesia en los servicios y actividades internas y externas. Soy Tesorero del Ministerio de los Caballeros que dirige el Hno. Joel Guzmán y soy parte del Ministerio "Bendecidos para bendecir" que dirige la Hna. Annie Torres, que se dedica a la repartición de alimentos en la comunidad.
Desde la fundación en el 2024 del Intituto Bíblico de las Asambleas de Dios, Rama de Youngstown, sirvo en el área de tecnología y como maestro de los grupos de inglés. Entre las clases que he impartido están Hermeneutica; Doctrinas Pentecostales, Libros Poéticos y otras. Para este Año Académico 2026-27 soy maestro de los grupos de segundo y tercer año para los cursos de Hermenutica y Arqueología.
No puedo culminar sin decir que soy padre de dos hermosas niñas, Carolyn y Cristina, que junto a mi esposa dedicamos e instruimos en los caminos del Señor.
Mi mayor anhelo es seguir sirviendo al Señor y a su obra. Entregarle en este tiempo lo mejor a Dios, junto a mi amada esposa Elba Santiago, quien también es parte de esta jornada del servicio a la obra de Dios. Esperando que mis conocimientos y experiencias sean útiles para seguir expandiendo el evangelio de Cristo.

"I was born in New York City and my first steps in the Lord since my childhood were in the John 3:16 Church that was pastored by my grandfather, Rev. Ricardo Tañón. At the age of 10 my mom got sick and died and together with my father and my two sisters we moved to Puerto Rico.
Since my childhood I have always served the Lord and I have always enjoyed working in His work in the Churches where I have been a member. In my younger years, in addition to helping with transportation in the church, I liked to serve in different areas where needed. I was always involved with the youth of my church in local and sectional activities, which led me to be appointed Sectional Leader of AJEC, of the Concilio Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal M.I. During that time I completed the three years of Bible studies at the Instituto Bíblico Mizpa Extramuro of the MI Pentecostal Council. I have also been a teacher of youth and adults.
Among my secular studies I have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, Bayamón Campus. In 2019, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in theology from the Redime Christian University of Puerto Rico campus, where I also took Chaplaincy courses.
In 2021, my oldest daughter's study situation brought me to Youngstown, Ohio, where I became a member of Spanish Evangelical Church, which is pastored by Rev. Rolando Rojas and Rev. Ruth Rojas. My church in Puerto Rico was Forjadores de Esperanza, Assemblies of God in Guaynabo. Although I had already retired from my secular job in Puerto Rico, as a Computer Programmer, here in Youngstown, God opened a door for me as an interpreter at OCCHA Inc., where I work part-time.
I am part of the Worship Team, led by Pastor Dorcas Santiago, where I assist in the sound area of the church in the internal and external services and activities. I am Treasurer of the Men’s Ministry and I am part of the "Blessed to Bless" Ministry led by Sis. Annie Torres, which is dedicated to the distribution of food to the community.
Since the founding in 2024 of the Assemblies of God Biblical Institute, Youngstown Branch, I serve in the area of technology and as a teacher of the English groups. Among the classes I have taught are Hermeneutics; Pentecostal Doctrines, Poetic Books and others. For this Academic Year 2026-27 I am a teacher of the second and third year groups for the Hermeneutics and Archaeology courses.
I cannot conclude without saying that I am the father of two beautiful girls, Carolyn and Cristina, who together with my wife we dedicate and instruct in the ways of the Lord.
My greatest desire is to continue serving the Lord and His work. To give my best to God currently, and together with my beloved wife Elba Santiago, who is also part of this journey of service to God's work. Hoping that my knowledge and experiences will be useful to the continuance of spreading the gospel of Christ.
