A Youngstown born makerspace Participants include makers, inventors, hobbyists, hackers, artisans, students, teachers, do-gooders and do-it-yourselfers..

The Oak Hill Maker Space is an integral aspect of the neighborhood revitalization and business incubator initiatives of the Oak Hill Collaborative. We are part of the grassroots, world-wide "maker movement" that fosters creativity and production through cooperation and collaboration. A maker space is like a community center with tools - the maker space owns the tools and equipment and people are free to use them at little or no expense, sharing ideas and knowledge with other participants.

Digital Inclusion Week 2025 is HERE!📢👏

Join us Oct. 6-11th to celebrate the work of Oak Hill Collaborative and other National Digital Inclusion Alliance affiliates to bridge the Digital Divide!

This year, we are thrilled to host the most workshops in our organizations history for this recognition week! We have 24 classes and workshops planed across our tri-county service area, all in just ONE WEEK! (Last year, we hosted 18)🤩

Some highlights from this year's Digital Inclusion Week include our annual Scam Report, our Basics Bootcamp, this year's Speaker Series, and an Intro to Web Design!

Every workshop and class we offer is FREE - and many of these workshops during Digital Inclusion Week are specialty topics, and may not come back again until next year⌛

Below, you can browse our public workshops for our Trumbull and Mahoning County locations. We are so grateful to our partners at OCCHA, Inc., Thrive 10:10, YWCA, TMHA, YMHA, Oak St. Health, Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries, Inc., and Connect Your Community for helping make this week possible! 💚

For more information about our resident-exclusive apartment buildings we teach at or the Ashtabula schedule, please contact our office at (330) 406-0731☎️

Please join us and make this Digital Inclusion Week something special!

Today marks our 400th class offered this year!👏📢

Not only is this a really big deal for our staff and cause for celebration🥂, many of you may remember that we offered roughly 550 classes last year!

We're expecting to almost double our operations from the previous year in terms of community service, so THANK YOU!🎉

Additionally, by next week, we're projecting to have graduated more than 200 students from our Hardware 4 Homes Program, meaning more than 200 laptops have been earned by residents and are now in homes across northeast Ohio!🎓

Thank you to everyone who has supported our initiatives, donated, volunteered, attended classes, visited, scheduled one-on-ones, the list goes on!

We couldn't do this without your support!🤩

Did you know that OHC teaches classes at the YWCA in Youngstown?⭐

Every Thursday our staff joins staff from the YWCA to help residents learn important digital skills, and after eight classes, residents can earn a laptop from us for free and graduate from our Hardware 4 Homes Program!🎓 💻

Earlier this month, Linda and Martin earned their computers together after completing the program, and celebrated with our Digital Navigators Nimra and TaeShawn🤩
