This June, we invite every member to join us for the final Black Dollar Days of the Soaring Administration.

Through the power of intentional spending, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® members have invested more than $50 million in Black-owned businesses during this administration. This June, we’re building on that legacy with a goal of spending $8 million more.

Every Pink Friday, we encourage Sisters to “Wear Pink, Spend Green, and Buy Black” by spending at least $19.08 with a Black-owned business.

Since our chartering on May 21, 1949, Epsilon Mu Omega has remained a beacon of light throughout Mahoning and Trumbull Counties in Ohio and Mercer County in Pennsylvania. For over seven decades, we have crossed borders and broken barriers to uplift communities, empower future generations, and serve with purpose and excellence.

Through educational initiatives, community service projects, leadership development, advocacy efforts, and dedication, we continue to build successful communities and make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.

Today, the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Epsilon Mu Omega Chapter proudly partnered with Youngstown Parks & Recreation to plant a beautiful Norway Spruce tree at Wick Park.

This tree represents so much more than greenery — it symbolizes growth, unity, legacy, and our continued commitment to serving the community we love. As the Norway Spruce grows over the years, it will stand as a lasting reminder of what can flourish when we come together in partnership and purpose. And who knows… one day it may even become a cherished community Christmas tree! 🎄✨

We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the Parks & Recreation Director and City Forester to help make our city greener, stronger, and more connected.

Your voice matters—make it count. The outcome of today’s election will determine the candidates for November, when we will elect our governor and national representatives.
