We are feeling the summer vibes. Thinking about fairs, parks, playgrounds, and sunny days!

The first of many Kona Ice Summer Fun Fridays! It was a perfectly hot and sunny day for it!

Last night Miss Jerica and Miss Kayla went out to represent Barrel of Monkeys at a wonderful library fundraising event! We are proud of be an official sponsor of the Ladies in Little Black Dresses for Literacy event. This event supports literacy development and raises money for the PLYMC Summer Discovery Program!

The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC), in partnership with The Library Foundation of Youngstown and Mahoning County host this annual event to support literacy development in children and specifically target summer reading.

We said goodbye to two amazing Pre-School teachers today. Mr. Kyle and Miss Vanessa are both leaving Barrel of Monkeys and they will be truly missed. While we are so sad to see them go we are thankful for the impact they have made in the lives of so many of our students. We wish them the very best in the next chapters of their lives. Join us in saying thank you and good luck to two wonderful teachers who are leaving behind big shoes to fill.

Happy Memorial Day from the baby room! We turned some standing practice into a patriotic craft and the babies loved it!! ❤️🤍💙

We are just about a week away from Pre-K Graduation day! And we are *SUPER* excited! The hallways have been decorated and the whole school is joining in the celebration!

Memorial Day is quickly approaching and Mr. Kyle’s Preschoolers are getting into the spirit already! Summer, parades, cookouts, fireworks, and of course taking a moment for remembrance. We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms, grandmas, aunts, family friends, and motherly figures in the lives of our students. Their lives are brighter because of you! We wish you all a wonderful and relaxing day filled with LOVE.
