YSU is welcoming local students for Ohio MFG Day on Friday, Oct. 2. Students will explore different areas of manufacturing, including robotics, engineering, additive commercial printing and industrial maintenance.

The event will take place from 9 am–1 pm in Kohli Hall. ⚙️

We’re so proud of our student, James Killmeyer, for an incredible summer internship at NASA Glenn Research Center! 🚀

James spent the summer working on coatings for lunar dust mitigation and creating samples for the International Space Station. He also gained hands-on experience with specialized lab equipment and learned from an incredible team of mentors. What a great opportunity to grow his skills and prepare for his future in engineering!👏

We’re proud to celebrate the work of YSU students Isabella Martinez, Liana Pagano, Nadia Zarbaugh, and Vincent Zuccaro, who recently explored mathematical research as undergraduate students.🐧❤️

Their project brought together biology, mathematics, and engineering to examine colorectal cancer screening and how mathematical modeling and statistical analysis can help us better understand screening decisions.

Congratulations to our students and their faculty mentor, Dr. Alicia Prieto-Langarica, on this accomplishment!👏

This annual event gives YSU STEM students the opportunity to connect directly with employers recruiting for internships, co-ops and full-time positions.

It’s a great opportunity for our Penguins to build professional connections, explore career paths and take important steps toward their futures. We’re proud to connect our students with opportunities that extend beyond the classroom!

We’re proud to highlight YSU graduate student Rashik Neupane! 👏

Rashik recently participated in OSG School 2026, where he gained hands-on experience in high-throughput computing and large-scale research. The experience will support his research on Bitcoin transaction data and help him build valuable skills for his future in computing.
