Exciting News. Dr. Byung-Wook Park, Assistant Professor of Engineering has been awarded $20,000 from the Seed Money Program for his pioneering research on "Regulation of Intestinal Barrier Function by Biohybrid Material Platform (BMP)." This project aims to revolutionize treatments for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) by leveraging biohybrid microrobots to better understand and manage intestinal health. Congratulations, Dr. Park.

Ward Beecher Hall at YSU is a cornerstone of STEM education, housing the Ward Beecher Planetarium. It was the first planetarium in the United States with the seats tiered and facing forward in a classroom arrangement. In its 50 plus years in service to the Mahoning Valley, the Ward Beecher Planetarium serves as a YSU astronomy classroom, a premium field trip destination to area schools, and an immersive, unique educational experience for the public. ❤️🐧
