YSUnity has finally returned and our first meeting is tomorrow from 2-3 via Zoom! If you're interested, you can email one of the people listed below. Hope to see you there!
As many of you know already, YSUnity has been struggling for months now to get back on its feet. With COVID creating an even bigger issue, we are unsure of what things look like for the future. To be straightforward, we seem to get a huge amount of interest but once emails are sent or things are planned, we lose that strong interest.
We are hurting for officers and are desperately needing these positions to be filled in order to get things up & running again. A safe space for not only the LGBT+ community but everyone is vital to a campus setting. We are a gay-straight alliance, which means anyone and everyone qualifies as a potential member of the group.
The group in itself is meant to strive towards the goal of making a change as well as having fun and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. This group is a great way to stay connected with your peers as well as meet new people who you may connect with.
We want to hear from you. We want to know what we can do to make this group thrive again. We value your thoughts and opinions. If you have any interest on becoming an officer, please email Paige Beaver - [email protected].
This is a great opportunity to grow as a leader and flourish as a person. If you have any questions or even just want to learn how to become a member, you are more than welcome to email Paige for this as well. We hope this revives the spark that has gone out and we can move forward in a positive direction.
Stay safe and have a great day!
